2. How the Extension Works
The WideMadeTasker Extension serves solely as a convenient access point (via an iframe) to the WideMadeTasker web application hosted on our servers. When you open the Extension, it loads the application directly from the web.
3. Data Handled by the Web Application
While the Extension itself does not collect data, the WideMadeTasker web application it displays does process information to function properly:
- Task Data: Tasks you create, edit, or delete are stored in your browser's local storage and synced with our secure database via an anonymously generated unique local identifier (Token).
- Settings: Your visual preferences (theme colors, language) are stored locally on your device.
- Push Notifications (Optional): If you enable notifications for task reminders, we store a secure FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token to deliver these notifications.
This data is strictly used to provide the task management service to you and is not used for advertising or tracking.
4. Third-Party Services
The underlying web application utilizes Google Firebase for database management and push notifications. Firebase operates under Google's Privacy Policy and employs high-standard security measures to protect your data.
5. Required Permissions
The Extension requests minimal permissions necessary for its operation. It only requires access to open the popup window and load the WideMadeTasker interface.
